Effect of Seed Sowing Time and Nutrients on the Growth and Yield of Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare)

In order to investigate the influence of seed sowing time and nutrients on growth yield fennel, an experiment based Randomized Complete Block Design with twelve treatments three replications at Horticulture Farm Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Nagar, Dhaka during October, 2019 July, 2020 season was carried out. Fennel variety ‘BARI Mouri-1’ used as planting material in this study. The consisted two factors: Factors-A: Sowing (4 levels): S1 = First week November, S2 Last S3 December S4 December; Factors-B: Nutrients T0 Control, T1 Vermicompost (2.50 t ha-1), T2 NPK (N80P50K60 kg ha-1) T3 + ha-1). result revealed that case (Last November) different level [Vermicompost ha⁻¹) ha⁻¹)] treatment exhibited its superiority other terms plant height, number leaves , primary branches, secondary umbel per plant, umbellet umbel, no. days first flowering, weight 1000-seeds ha.
